At Little Wings, we see every day how small acts of kindness can make a big difference when children and families are facing some of life’s toughest challenges. Through our programs and services, we help provide comfort, support and hope when it’s needed most.

That’s why we’re proud to be part of Steggles’ Charity Chook initiative this July.

For every Steggles Charity Chook purchased, 30 cents is donated to Australian children’s charities, helping charities like ours continue to provide vital support to sick kids and families across the country.

This year’s Charity Chook celebrates the small moments that can leave a lasting impact. Inspired by the idea of a care package, the packaging features real messages, symbols and words of encouragement drawn from the experiences of children and families supported by Steggles charity partners. From bravery beads and words of hope to meals shared with loved ones, each element represents a moment of care that helped someone feel supported, find strength and keep moving forward.

Introducing the sweetest, Halo, 18 months old and a happy resident of Griffith. Today, she flys home with Little Wings after her appointments at Westmead Children’s Hospital and she is all smiles with clear skies and sunshine lining the route ahead.
 
Halo was born with a complex condition that will be lifelong, a condition that requires integrated care for the paediatric coordination team. Specialist joining forces to provide wraparound care for Halo and ensuring a coordinated approach, together working towards the best possible outcomes now and into the future.
 
Now as we know, not all hero’s wear capes, and our friends at Steggles have helped this mission get lift off… fueling the plane, believing in the Little Wings mission, and forever championing local families.
