Thank you for joining us for these special International Women’s Day gatherings across Griffith, Dubbo and Tamworth. Seeing so many community leaders, healthcare professionals, families and supporters come together in these St.George and Westpac branches has been incredibly meaningful. ✨
Your presence through out the week reflects the strength of regional communities and the power of women supporting one another. We heard powerful stories of resilience from families who have faced the challenges of caring for a seriously ill child, often while navigating distance, uncertainty and limited access to specialist care.
At Little Wings, our mission is simple but vital: to ensure seriously ill children living in regional and remote communities can reach the medical care they need. Thanks to the generosity of volunteers, partners and supporters like you, we continue to provide free, safe and professional air and ground transport for families across NSW, ACT and Queensland. ✈️
International Women’s Day reminds us that when communities come together with compassion and purpose, real change happens. Thank you for standing with Little Wings, for celebrating the incredible women in our communities, and for helping ensure no family feels alone on their journey. 💛

your impact - introducing victoria
During Covid, Victoria Vaclavik from Tamworth toppled a cup of hot tea over her head and body. She needed treatment for the second degree burns to her chin, neck and chest.
Thanks to the Little Wings volunteer pilots, Victoria and mum Rebeccah Vaclavik were able to be flown back and forth to Sydney for special burns treatment, every second day for two months. The alternative was for Ms Vaclavik or husband James to make the five and a half hour drive with their 13-month-old daughter still agitated by injuries.
Thanks to St.Geroge, Little Wings could say yes to helping Victoria and Rebecca, along with 27 other families during this stressful time.

At just 17 years old, Rose is taking to the Australian skies with a powerful mission, to inspire the next generation of female pilots around Australia and raise vital funds for Little Wings, a children’s charity providing free, safe, and professional air and ground transport for seriously ill children and their families across regional and remote NSW, ACT, and QLD.
Flying solo around Australia, Rose is proving that age and gender are no barrier to achieving your dreams. Her journey is not just about adventure — it’s about making a difference for kids who need urgent medical care far from home.
