Dear [FIRST_NAME]

During the month of August we were busy visiting a number of Clubs within NSW who have awarded funding to the Little Wings flight program as part of the ClubGRANTS scheme. It was great to be able to attend the cheque presentation ceremonies for each of these Clubs and see the wonderful contribution that Clubs make to the community and to a variety of worthwhile causes. We would like to thank the following Clubs for our ClubGRANTS funding - Bankstown Sports Club, Smithfield RSL, Penshurst RSL, Wenty Leagues Club, Chatswood RSL, Toronto Diggers Club, Belmont 16ft Sailing Club, Charlestown Bowling Club, Newcastle Panthers, and The Wests Group Newcastle. With the generous support of these clubs we will be able to continue bringing loved ones home.

We were very lucky to have a team of 9 participants in the City2Surf this year. Together this team went above and beyond what we had expected and raised $8,300 for the charity. On behalf of the staff and families at Little Wings we would like to say thank you again for your time, support and generosity.

As we enter the last quarter for 2015 we are very excited to be the recipient of many events and fundraisers. If you are interested in supporting Little Wings or hosting an event where proceeds go to the charity please email info@littlewings.org.au. Once again we thank you for your continued support.

Regards, Little Wings Team

Barry the Parody Bear

Our second shipment of Barry has arrived. He sings the sweet songs of Fitzy & Wippa, cuddles you close at night, and most importantly, raises funds for Little Wings.

Perfect for NOVA 96.9 listeners who love the quick witted humour of Fitzy and Wippa. Whilst Barry is very cuddly he may not be suitable for young children. Parodies include ‘Cookie Jar’ Battle Scars/Guy Sebastian, ‘Call Me Maybe (Blokes Version)’ Call Me Maybe/Carly Ray Jepsen, ‘Cougars’ Blurred Lines/Robin Thicke, 'Aussie Battler Style’ Gangnam Style/PSY, and ‘Please and Thank You’ Original Composition by Hewie Fitzgerald.

Our Children's Story - Emily

Our first experience with Little Wings was in June 2013. We had to return to Sydney for another check-up and were put in touch with Little Wings. Not only did their plane fly to Lismore to pick us up, but once at Bankstown airport, we were transported directly to Ronald McDonald House. And all at no cost to us. Our eight hour travel days had been reduced to three hours which is amazing especially travelling with a young child

Emily has been in remission again since February 2014. We are still required to travel to Sydney for the next five years for three monthly check-ups and Little Wings makes this a much easier experience for us. We now have a six week old baby, Joshua. We are so grateful being able to use this service whilst travelling with two young children because not only does it take so much of the stress away but it also allows us to spend more time at home and less time away from our family and friends.

We are so thankful for all Little Wings has done for us and other families with sick children.

Community Shows Support

Little Wings was recently the recipient of some quilts and toys made by a local community sewing group - Georges Hall Sew'n'Sews. On behalf of the children we would like to say thank you to the ladies at Georges Hall Sew'n'Sews.

Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is a way for you to make a significant and lasting impact on the work of your preferred charity through a direct tax deductible donation from your pre-tax pay.

A quote from Megan in HR "Austunnel is proud to support a number of charities and organisations in order to give back to the community where possible. Giving back is important to Austunnel. With our donations to Little Wings, we have been actively internally promoting the benefits of donating to Little Wings, as well as promising to match every dollar that is donated by our team members."
